Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost attends grand opening of Republican Party HQ
Local leadership was honored when Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost and his wife, Darlene, traveled to Port Clinton on July 8 for the grand opening of the Ottawa County Republican Party Headquarters at the corner of SR 163 and SR 53, in front of Cheesehaven in Port Clinton. Several local and state leaders attended the event to show their support of the county party.
Concrete becomes canvas for Jersey Barriers Project
Next to the music stage in The District in downtown Port Clinton sits a colorful Jersey barrier depicting a whimsical, local beach scene that was painted by 12-year-old Lea Casados. Casados, who is the youngest member of the Port Clinton Artists’ Club (PCAC), painted the artwork as part of the group’s Jersey Barriers Project. Several downtown barriers were painted by club members.
