Volunteers have transformed the look of the Nancy Byng Community Theater from a quaint country church to a contemporary theater venue. Repainting the former church building was a momentous task, requiring a group of hardworking volunteers, 30 gallons of paint, a boom lift, and favorable weather. All of these elements came together in late June. As a result, the white building at 5852 Maple St., Abrams, turned a stunning midnight blue.

APPLETON, Wis. — High waters continue to impact Wisconsin with flash floods occurring throughout the state. Friday's rain left behind dangerously high waters in Appleton. A flash flood warning was issued for the city after 1 to 3 inches of rain fell in a short amount of time. A flooding emergency prompted several water rescues in north Appleton Friday afternoon.
Two injured with serious burns after added gasoline causes bonfire explosion in Winnebago County
OMRO, Wis. (WFRV) – Two people suffered serious burns on the Fourth of July after gasoline was added to a bonfire in Winnebago County, causing an explosion. A Facebook post shared by the Omro Police Department states that first responders were called to a residence on East River Drive near Fox and Hounds Park around 8:50 p.m. on July 4.

Severe flooding and flash flood warnings issued through northeast Wisconsin
(WFRV) – Heavy rain has caused several counties in northeast Wisconsin to be put under a flash flood warning. Shortly before 1:30 p.m., the National Weather Service in Green Bay issued flash flood warnings for Brown, Calumet, and Manitowoc County until 4:30 p.m. Between 1 and 3 inches of rainfall has fallen, and another 1-2 inches is forecasted for the rest of the afternoon.
