LOS ANGELES – According to the United States Geological Survey, an earthquake of a magnitude of 3.9 was felt in Southern California on Thursday morning before noon. At around 9:39 a.m. local time, the earthquake struck, with the epicenter being approximately 4 miles west of Lake Elsinore, which is situated approximately 70 miles southeast of Los Angeles. The earthquake also occurred at a depth of almost 5.5 miles. According to reports, the shaking was felt in several areas of the metropolitan area of Los Angeles.
