Bellingham’s Underground Nightclub announces closure after 13 years of business

The Underground Nightclub has announced it will permanently close after 13 years of business in downtown Bellingham.

The nightclub will close its doors Sunday, Aug. 25, according to an Instagram post.

“We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our wonderful customers for the last 13 years. Many of you have become like family to us and it has been our pleasure to be able to be a part of so many fun times with you,” the Instagram post states.

The nightclub did not give a reason for the closure, but has l ive music and entertainment scheduled through Oct. 26 on its website.

The Underground will be open for its last night on Saturday, Aug. 24 from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. at 211 E Chestnut St.
