    Shooting Incident Reported in Grant County, Two Victims Receiving Treatment

    GRANT COUNTY, WASHINGTON - Authorities in Grant County are responding to a shooting that has left two people injured in the quiet community of Desert Aire.

    The incident occurred around 9 p.m. local time in the 200 block of Thunderbird Way SW. According to the Grant County Sheriff’s Office, emergency medical services are currently treating the victims at the scene.

    A spokesperson for the Grant County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that a Public Information Officer (PIO) is on the way to the scene, with an expected arrival time of around 10 p.m. The area surrounding Thunderbird Way has been cordoned off, and residents are being urged to avoid the vicinity while law enforcement conducts its investigation.

    Details on the circumstances leading up to the shooting remain unclear, and it is not yet known whether a suspect is in custody.

    Update 10:30 PM: The shooting occurred at approximately 8:15 PM at Desert Aire Park. Following the incident, two victims, both suffering from gunshot wounds, drove themselves to the Thunderbird Way address. One of the victims, who sustained critical injuries, was airlifted to a regional hospital for treatment. The second victim, whose injuries were non-life-threatening, declined medical attention.
