    Bellport mother shines on RNC stage while calling for change

    A mother from Bellport stole the show on the second night of the Republican National Convention. Madeline Brame had everyone talking following her passionate speech in front of thousands in Milwaukee. Brame is an advocate for the rights of crime victims. She lost her son, Army Sgt. Hason Correa, to violence six years ago when he was beaten and stabbed by a group of four people outside an apartment building in Harlem. She remains upset with Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s handling of the case, and received thunderous applause from the RNC crowd when she mentioned his name.
