BELMAR, NJ - Because of an inability to pay mounting debts, The Boathouse Bar and Grill at 1309 Main Street in Belmar has lost its liquor license due to a foreclosure process, rendering the establishment unable to serve alcohol.  The Boathouse, a well-known venue owned by Tim Harmon and Matt Harmon under the name Two Dawgs for over 20 years, was once a popular destination in the borough.

However, in recent years, the business has faced a steady decline. The Harmons failed to meet their financial obligations and pay for accumulating debt in a timely manner. The foreclosure involving the liquor license marks a significant chapter in these financial woes.
