Fatal motorcycle crash, road rage shooting in Pierce County
A man is dead after a motorcycle crash on Wednesday evening in Pierce County. At 5:43 p.m. Wednesday, Pierce County Sheriff’s Department deputies responded to the single-vehicle collision at 65th Avenue East near 200th Street East. The rider was traveling south on 65th Avenue East at a high rate of speed when he veered off the roadway. Firefighters arrived and pronounced the man dead.
Puyallup man walks out of courthouse after sentencing, remains missing
A man sentenced to four years in prison by a Pierce County judge simply walked out of the courthouse more than a month ago, and remains missing. Police are still looking for the 36-year-old man from Puyallup — who’s not been publicly identified — after he exited the Justice Center on May 31 through a second-floor screening station, according to The News Tribune. From there, he simply crossed South 11th Street, allegedly got into a black sedan and drove away.

Medical examiner identifies victim in Ray Nash Drive shooting
The Pierce County Medical Examiner’s Office identified Reginald Anderson-Taylor as the man shot and killed at a home on Ray Nash Drive on June 26. Anderson-Taylor was a 39-year-old Gig Harbor resident. The Medical Examiner’s Office said he died of a gunshot wound to the torso and ruled the death a homicide.

Stolen car chase ends with crash into vacant Spanaway home, driver arrested
SPANAWAY, Wash. — A man driving a stolen car crashed into a vacant home in Spanaway while attempting to escape Pierce County deputies Tuesday afternoon. At 3:55 p.m., deputies said one of their patrol sergeants spotted a stolen vehicle at Military Rd S. and Pacific Ave S. The sergeant then confirmed the car was stolen and waited until a second unit arrived to attempt a vehicle stop, deputies said.
