You can complain about a messy property
Most of the discussion at the July 15 Belmond City Council meeting focused on few repeating problems. Public Works Director Justin Fournier said that earlier in the day about a dozen notices were placed on doors around the community where residents were seen mowing grass into the street. “Some people were not very happy to see us,” he reported.

Area Student to Participate in Governor’s Charity Steer Show in August
The 42nd Governor’s Charity Steer Show will be held August 10th during the 2024 Iowa State Fair. The event, hosted by the Office of the Governor of Iowa, Iowa Cattlemen’s Association and Iowa Beef Industry Council, helps raise money for the three independent Ronald McDonald House Charities of Iowa, located in Des Moines, Iowa City and Sioux City.
