82-year-old woman scammed out of nearly $1M in Montgomery County 'gold bar scam'
MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. — Another person was arrested for taking part in what Montgomery County officials are calling the 'gold bar scam." The scam has bilked people of hundreds of thousands of dollars. To date, in Montgomery County there have been a total of 19 victims. Man's body found in pond at NOVA Woodbridge campus
Police are investigating the death of a 20-year-old man whose body was found Friday in the pond at Northern Virginia Community College in Woodbridge. Officers were called to the school at 2635 College Drive about 3:20 p.m. after campus police found the personal belongings of an individual, later identified as a 20-year-old man, near the pond and contacted Prince William County police. A short time later, the man’s body was located and recovered from the pond by fire and rescue crews.

Thieves crash U-Haul truck into Maryland gas station in attempted ATM smash-and-grab robbery
CALVERTON, Md. - Thieves used a U-Haul truck as a battering ram to try and steal an automatic teller machine from inside a Montgomery County gas station early Tuesday morning.
