Montgomery County police to hold drone program meeting with Bethesda-Chevy Chase community
BETHESDA, Md. - Bethesda-Chevy Chase is next on the list of community town halls to discuss the Montgomery County Police Department’s newer drone program. A meeting with the County Executive, 2nd District Police Commander, and Councilmember is planned for Wednesday, July 17, at 7 p.m. at the Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School auditorium.

Former DCist staffers launch worker-owned local news site
Six former staffers at DCist – the local daily news site which WAMU acquired in 2018 and shuttered in February – are set to launch a worker-owned local news website. The site, called The 51st, will not be a relaunch of DCist. For one, founders say it’ll be a weekly newsletter instead of a daily news site.
