BELOIT — Tuesday night’s game between the Beloit Sky Carp and the Peoria Chiefs was postponed due to field conditions at ABC Supply Stadium.

The two teams will make up the game as part of a doubleheader starting at 4:05 p.m. Wednesday. The twinbill will feature two seven-inning games.

Multiple sources are reporting the Miami Marlins are promoting their top pitching prospects, Noble Meyer and Thomas White, from low-A Jupiter, Fla., to High-A Beloit. Meyer is the organization’s top right-handed prospect and White is the top left-handed prospect.

In eight games, White is 1-1 with a 3.18 ERA. The 6-foot-5, 19-year-old in 34 innings has struck out 44 batters.

Meyer, also 6-5 and 19 years old, is 2-2 in eight games with a 2.65 ERA. In 34 innings he has struck out 43.

The Sky Carp will continue their series with the Dragons through Sunday afternoon. Tomorrow’s game is One-Price Waggin’ Wednesday. Fans can bring their dog to the park and all fans may enter the park for $18, which includes a game ticket, soda, hot dog and chips.
