PARKERSBURG — A tow truck driver gets ready to move a semi truck that was involved in an accident on I-77 near the Camden Avenue exit shortly after 8 a.m. Sunday. According to Wood County 911, the accident involved only the semi and resulted in one person being taken to Camden Clark Medical Center. The seriousness of the injuries of the person transported are not known. The Wood County Sheriff’s Office, the Parkersburg Police Department, the Parkersburg Fire Department and St. Joseph’s Ambulance service responded. (Photo Provided)
Fur Kids for Seniors brings joy to care residents
PARKERSBURG, W.Va. (WTAP) - At least once or twice a month, Justin Riser, alongside his son Braydon, visit care centers with their dogs as a way to comfort the residents. The group, Fur Kids for Seniors, recently visited the Ohio Valley Health Care Center in Parkersburg. The goal of the group is to bring smiles for the residents living in the care faculties.

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX) — A dangerously low supply of donor blood in the state has prompted the Versiti Blood Center of Ohio to make an emergency appeal for blood donations.
