'Sacred responsibility': After 20 years, Bemidji Veterans Home opens with a long wait list
BEMIDJI, Minn. - Veterans in northern Minnesota now have a new place to call home. At a dedication ceremony Monday attended by Gov. Tim Walz, Sen. Amy Klobuchar and Rep. Pete Stauber, the crowd gave unending applause to officials and advocates who made the longtime dream of a veterans home here a reality. But gratitude extended mostly to the residents who served in the military and the staff who are dedicated to serving the region's aging veterans.

FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) - The Moorhead Blues and Bemidji Centaurs Legion baseball teams split a double-header at Matson Field, Bemidji winning game one 5-3, and Moorhead walking off the second game 7-3. Drake Kunza blasted a grand slam out of Matson Field in the bottom of the 8th inning of that second game to force the split.

Bemidji Chamber celebrates Sanford Health expansion
Bemidji Chamber Ambassadors congratulated Sanford Health on the recent expansion of its Heart and Vascular Center and East Lobby remodel. The expanded heart center now features a third catheterization (CATH) lab, expanded nurses station, private offices for clinicians, improved wayfinding and lobby experience for patients and additional clinic rooms for future growth.
