According to an update released by CenterPoint Energy, this initiative, which runs from 2023 through 2025, aims to install more corrosion-resistant pipes and improve the city's gas infrastructure. Commencing on July 22 and stretching into early August, Northrop will see the replacement of small-diameter natural gas plastic mains, and the relocation of meters from inside to outside of homes, affecting several streets including parts of 43rd and 44th Streets E. from Chicago Avenue S. to 10th Avenue S., along with a stretch of 46th Street E.
