Benton rodeo returning this month

Benton, Pa. — The annual rodeo is riding into Benton this month, with bull riding, barrel racing, and seven days of fun!

The 39th annual Frontier Days Championship Rodeo and Bull-A-Rama will be held from July 16-21 at the Benton Area Rodeo Association fairgrounds on Mendenhall Lane. The grounds and vendors open at 5 p.m. each night.

Schedule of events:

Tuesday, July 16

• Benton Area Rodeo Fun Show Group. Competitors of all ages will compete for the fastest time in keyhole, and barrels. Free admission. Show begins at 7:30 p.m

Wednesday, July 17

• Benton Area Rodeo Fun Show Group hosts a 3D Barrel Jackpot. Open Jackpot Barrel Race. Free admission. Show begins at 7:30 p.m

Thursday - Saturday, July 18-20

• All American Pro Rodeo ( APRA / IPRA Co Sanctioned)

• All traditional rodeo events.

Sunday, July 21

• Cowboy Church, conducted by the Benton Assembly of God Church. Special music featuring the Feola family. All are welcome.

• Bull-A-Rama. Show beings at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets are $17 for adults, children 4-12 are $14, children under 3 are free. Seniors 65 and older get a reduced $14 admission, and active military duty, with copy of military ID, are $12.

Parking is $5, except Tuesday and Wednesday, which are free parking days. Fairgrounds open at 5 p.m. each day.
