Bentonville unveils improvements for SW Gator Road connecting Morningstar Road to Highway 112

BENTONVILLE, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — The city of Bentonville celebrated road improvements on July 17 that allow Morningstar Road to connect to Highway 112 through SW Gator Road.

There are multiple new key enhancements in the area like three lanes for cars and bus transit and green space for a pleasant environment.

Mayor Stephanie Orman says the improvements and the connector road are a way to ease traffic in the area.

“We try to make sure as we grow as a community, we grow well, and we have those connector roads to pull some of the traffic off our main arterials. And this road is designed to pull some of that traffic off of Southwest Regional Airport Road.”

The project is one of the many that are part of a wider $173 million street improvements project. The full list of projects can be found here .
