    Bentonville substitute teachers will earn more in upcoming school year

    BENTONVILLE, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — Substitute teachers in Bentonville will be getting an extra $5 per day in the upcoming school year.

    The Bentonville Board of Education unanimously voted on the pay increase in Tuesday’s meeting.

    The chart shows all levels will now match with Rogers as the highest in the area.

    Licensed teachers will be getting $135 a day, people with a bachelor’s degree will earn $120 and anyone with an associate’s degree will be making $105.

    In the agenda from Tuesday’s meeting, it says the changes are to offer competitive rates to attract top talent for the students and says the estimated impact is about $96,000.
