Man drowns after bicycle pursuit with Troy Police Officers
Troy, N.Y. — A man fell into the Hudson River Monday evening after trying to flee officers on a bicycle. The Troy Police Department was patrolling the area of 2nd Avenue and 116th Street after complaints of suspicious activity in the area. An officer was attempting to ask the man questions as he was riding his bicycle. Instead of stopping, the man sped up and the officer followed him with his police cruiser.

Police investigating assault in Albany early Sunday morning
Albany Police are investigating two assaults that happened early Sunday morning in the area of Grant Avenue and Hunter Avenue. ALBANY, N.Y. (WRGB) — Albany Police are investigating a stabbing incident that sent two men to the hospital Thursday. According to a release, officers responded to the area of Central Avenue and Lexington Avenue for reports of an individual who had been stabbed, at approximately 11 p.m. Thursday. There, authorities said they found a 37-year-old man with a laceration to his arm. He was reportedly treated on scene by emergency medical personnel and taken to Albany Medical Center Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
