Rutgers football lands Pennsylvania 3-star Gavin Sidwar
Three-star quarterback Gavin Sidwar committed to Rutgers football on Monday, becoming the Big Ten program’s first commitment in the class of 2026. Sidwar is a 6-foot-3, 185-pound quarterback prospect at La Salle College (Wyndmoor, Pennsylvania). He holds offers from Duke, Indiana, Maryland, Pittsburgh, Syracuse, Virginia, Virginia Tech and West Virginia among others.

Rutgers Lacrosse: 2 players honored with Big 10’s top reward
Two stars for the Rutgers men's and women's lacrosse teams, Shane Knobloch and Cassidy Spiles, were awarded the Big Ten Medal of Honor yesterday. The Big Ten Medal of Honor is given to one male and one female student athlete of each Big Ten university’s graduating class who has excelled off the field and on it during their college tenure. It was the first award in intercollegiate athletics to have academic accomplishment as an equal benchmark to athletic achievement when deciding who should get the award. It is considered the conference's most prestigious award.
ALJ's Justin Zdeb Named Quad County All-Star Game MVP
CLARK, NJ — Arthur L. Johnson (ALJ) High School's Justin Zdeb just represented Clark at the Quad County Underclassman All-Star Game this past Friday, June 28. He was named the MVP for Union County. This day in Rutgers history: RU joins the Big Ten Conference
Today is a memorable day in Rutgers history as it was exactly 10 years ago that Rutgers joined the Big Ten. A lot has changed in that time as there has been a change in athletic directors as well as two changes in the head football coach and a changing of the guard in the basketball coach. Tim Pernetti helped usher in the Big Ten membership as Rutgers' athletic director but was not in charge when the official membership began.
