Golfers with Colorado ties in the mix after third round at The Ascendant
It's a jam-packed leaderboard after the third round of The Ascendant at TPC Colorado in Berthoud and some local golfers will have a chance to make a move on Sunday. Matt McCarty leads by three strokes over Cristobal Del Solar. McCarty is at 19-under after three rounds. The scoring record was broke last season at 20-under.

Four Earn Academic All-America Honors
Versatility pays off, especially when it comes with excellence on all fronts. Four members of the Colorado State women's swimming and diving program earned second-team academic All-American honors from the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America due to their outstanding work in the classroom and stalwart efforts in their events this past season. To be recognized, a student-athlete must maintain at minimum a 3.50 GPA during the competition season and reach at least an NCAA 'B' standard in the lanes or a zones cut on the boards.

Fort Collins College hires ex-Roseburg volleyball standout Chay Swenson
Former Roseburg volleyball player Chay Swenson has been hired as an assistant coach for the NCAA Division II Fort Lewis College volleyball team in Durango, Colorado. Swenson, a 2020 RHS graduate, was a player for four seasons at Fort Lewis, but will transition into a coaching role with the Skyhawks now that she has graduated.
