Pitt County’s workforce and welcoming nature were key in bringing a global health care leader to the area’s business landscape, leaders said, and the Japanese company is expected to create 232 jobs and invest more than $397 million with its first North American manufacturing plant in Greenville. Japanese medical device maker Nipro Corp. is poised to announce a roughly $400-million expansion that is expected to bring more than 230 jobs to Pitt County.
