Cane Bay hires Tucker as AD
Summerville – When Cane Bay High had an opening for its athletic director’s position, the administration and school district did not have to look far for the new boss. Cane Bay announced the hiring of Randall Tucker to take over the athletic program in early July. Tucker comes from Ashley Ridge High in Summerville, where he spent the last nine years. Tucker is a Berkeley County native, graduating from Stratford High in 1998. He spent time in coaching at Wando, Summerville and Ashley Ridge.
SCISA Prepares to Open 55th Football Season
Goose Creek, S.C. - The South Carolina Independent Schools Association is preparing to open its 55th football season with a new two-year alignment. Can Hammond (4A), Hilton Head Christian (3A), Bethesda Academy (2A), Patrick Henry Academy (1A) and Jefferson Davis Academy (8 Man) defend their 2023 titles? Hammond will be playing for their 8th straight title in Class 4A.

This race includes a 5K run/walk and 1-mile fun run – both races begin and end at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 206 Central Avenue in Summerville. The USATF-certified course winds through historic downtown Summerville. The 5K begins at 7:45 a.m. and the 1-mile fun run kicks off at 8:45 a.m.

The numbers are undeniable and awe-inspiring. John Curtis Christian has won 28 LHSAA state championships on the field (27 officially). J.T. Curtis as the Patriots head coach has won 623 games on the field, 593 if you subtract the 30 forfeited games from a decade ago which the school is still appealing.
