    MCPD: Search continues for man who punched Giant Food employee, stole cash

    MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. ( DC News Now ) — Detectives with the Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) are searching for a man who allegedly punched an employee and robbed the Giant Food store in Bethesda.

    MCPD said on June 25 at around 11:30 a.m., officers responded to the grocery store located in the 7100 block of Arlington Road for a robbery.

    During the investigation, detectives learned that a man, shown in the pictures below, allegedly entered the store to return stolen merchandise to receive a cash refund. Police said when the store refused to give him the cash, he punched an employee and snatched money from another worker before getting away.

    Anyone who may be able to identify the man or with more information on the incident is asked to enter a tip on the P3 website or call 866-411-8477.
