Animal cruelty continues to be a growing problem in Kentucky
LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — In 45 years of rescuing animals, Anita Spreitzer described the past few months as the worst she's ever seen. “We've moved, in the last month and a half, close to 175 dogs into safe havens. It's unheard of. I've never seen something like this in my lifetime," Spreitzer said.
Kentucky felon sentenced to 8 years in prison for child exploitation material
FRANKFORT, KY — On June 20, 41-year-old Jason Pitcock of Fountain Run was sentenced to eight years in prison for the possession and viewing of child exploitation material. The Department of Criminal Investigations' Special Victims Unit in the Office of the Attorney General investigated the case and Monroe County Commonwealth’s Attorney Jesse Stockton prosecuted the case on behalf of the Commonwealth.
