DeKalb Co. multi-vehicle crash sends 2 to hospital
DEKALB COUNTY, Ill. (WIFR) - Two people are in the hospital after a three-vehicle crash Tuesday morning near Waterman. Just after 4:30 a.m., DeKalb County Sheriffs were called to the scene of a multi-vehicle crash on State Route 23 and Watson Road. According to the sheriff, vehicle one veered out of their lane and hit two vehicles traveling southbound. Vehicle one hit the front end of vehicle two and clipped the the front right side of vehicle three.
Aurora, IL – Fatal Accident Claims Life of Motorcyclist on City’s West Side
Aurora, IL – A 48-year-old man died in a collision Friday evening on Aurora’s far west side. According to the Aurora Police Department, the accident occurred around 6:44 p.m. at N Orchard Road and Sullivan Road. A 2006 Harley Davidson motorcycle collided with a 2009 Nissan Versa. Officers found the motorcyclist, Christopher Joeckel of DeKalb, IL, deceased at the scene.
Kitchen fire leaves significant damage at Illinois Youth Center fire in suburban Warrenville

Click here to watchDozens of firefighters, first responders were seen around 1 p.m. at the Illinois Youth Center in Warrenville on Ferry Road.The Illinois Department of Juvenile Justice said the flames and smoke left significant damage.First responders were seen breaking part of a roof where the smoke was coming out of.Some firefighters were seen taking breaks under trees as the heat index in the high 90s.One person was taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation.It's unknown what caused the fire.
