Greg Minnaar is the greatest downhill racer of all time. He has won 23 World Cups and 4 World Championships, but his longevity is where the South African has truly set himself apart.

Minnaar has been racing World Cups since the 1990s, and at 42 years old, is still hungry. Watch Eurosport’s documentary “Not Done Yet” which profiles Greg Minnaar and his mindset.

“Not Done Yet” dives into Greg Minnaar’s career and his motivation to keep racing. The film features interviews with Greg as well as various support staff and tells the story of Greg's legacy leading into this offseason.

The last year has been a roller coaster for Greg. At the end of 2023, Greg was blindsided by the news that the Santa Cruz Syndicate planned to move on from its partnership with him. That moment was captured in the movie. Though Greg said he understood, it very clearly lit a fire under his posterior.

Though Greg was very rational about where he was in his career, he was still hungry to keep racing and signed a contract to ride for the Norco Race Division. There, Minnaar has taken on the process of helping with bike design and mentoring his young teammates.

Unfortunately, Greg’s 2024 has not gone to plan. He crashed at Fort William and separated his shoulder. In classic Minnaar fashion, he raced two weeks later at the World Cup in Poland despite his injury.

Many fans of racing have been wondering how Greg is still doing it. To rally for a full season of a demanding and dangerous sport is a huge effort, but no one may be better equipped than Greg. As his mechanic said, Greg Minnar has had such a successful career thanks to his incredible grit. Anyone north of 40 who has accomplished more than anyone in their sport and is still trying to go for more has incredible mental toughness.

Age catches up to us all, but as long as he still has something in the tank, Minnaar will line up to race at the World Cup, and we're always stoked to see him riding.
