    Keesler problems

I concur with the Sound Off on entrance to Keesler AFB on Division Street. I have a VA ID and my wife and I used to shop on Keesler. It now takes approximately one hour to get approval to enter Keesler. Before the change, my ID was scanned and we could enter. Something needs to happen to speed up the process. The CB base in Gulfport is smaller but has three civilians on duty and it takes about five minutes to get approval to enter.

    Health care

Health care plans by Republicans include more privatizing of health care and less government regulation. This is exactly the last thing we need. When health care is privatized, the owner(s) are there to make money. So money is taken out of the health care budget to give a profit to the owners. This means some people have to be denied coverage because there is not enough money to cover every American and give the owner a profit.

    EVs

We have had EVs available for the public since at least 2010 from GM with the Chevrolet Volt and hybrids before then. If EVs are so good for the climate, why hasn’t the government gone completely to EVs for all of its cars. That goes for Congress, also. I guess they haven’t reached the point of being good enough for them.

    Give it a rest

Drop the immigrants-are-invading-us scare tactic. None of you have been affected or know anyone. You are just creating fear where there is no threat.

    Weird

You’re saying Gov. Walz retiring from the military after 24 years of honorable military service is cowardly, as opposed to Donald Trump getting six military deferments for bone spurs that miraculously disappeared after the draft was terminated is just weird.

    Too old to drive

The state of Mississippi definitely does not follow its policy on issuing driver’s licenses to seniors. A friend of mine was just telling me last month that her 98-year-old mother was just issued a license online for four more years. This was totally against my friend’s wishes, as she refused to go with her to the DMV hoping this would stop her from renewing. Her mother was able to find someone to help her do this online. How can the DMV, in all good sense, do this? And, yes, 98-year-old woman does have a car, and drives.

    Elder neglect

It’s so weird to see a mentally unstable person digress into dementia on prime time TV, and multiple social media channels. This poor 78 year old has gone from rambling thoughts to raging gibberish right in front of us, and even weirder that his own family doesn’t seem to care.

    Projection

One political party complaining the other party’s candidate abandoned his military post by retiring after 24 years, while their own candidate is a well-documented draft dodger is just plain weird.

    Opening ceremony

Please, people. The “Last Supper” clip at the opening of the Olympics was not about the Last Supper. It was Dionysus, the Greek mythical god of wine and feasting, presiding over a feast which included wine. Read up on him.

    Evidence lacking

To Donald Trump, JD Vance, Rudy Giuliani and almost every other Republican who opens their mouth these days, I might listen to what you have to say if you ever presented any evidence. E-v-i-d-e-n-c-e. Look it up.

    Voter ID

Vice President Harris opposes Voter ID laws as racist, but has no problem requiring her rally attendees provide proof of identity with a government issued ID. Typical Democrat elitist hypocrisy.

    No need to explain

Why do Donald Trump’s messages have to explained? He said what he said and meant what he said.
