Fly in a Fortress or simulate a Navy SEAL mission at Greater Binghamton Airshow

The United States Navy will be bringing virtual reality to Johnson City at this year's Airshow. The Nimitz, a mobile VR experience, will showcase a simulated Navy SEAL mission.

An 18-wheeler will be on site allowing visitors to step into a Navy SEAL mission through an Oculus Rift headset. The experience will offer a full replication of steering, sounds, full use of the throttle system and the sensation of piloting a Navy Special Warfare Combatant Craft. After the mission is complete participants will be graded and debriefed on their performance.

The Nimitz VR experience will be available Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Looking for a thrill and want to take to the sky? The Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress and the North American B-25 Mitchell will be welcoming passengers aboard for a ride and tour.
