    The Stews prep for weekend show at Avondale Brewing Company

    BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ( WIAT ) — Indie rock band The Stews will showcase their sophomore album at Avondale Brewing Company this Saturday.

    Doors open at 5 p.m., with the show slated to start at 6 p.m. Supper Club and Certainly So will open for the band. Tickets are still available online for $25 each.

    The group formed amidst the pandemic at Auburn University, according to their website , comprised of vocalist Preston Hall, guitarist Blake Dobbs, bassist Bennett Baugus and drummer Wyatt Griffith.

    Following the release of their debut album “What Was,” The Stews have performed at sold-out venues across the U.S. Their newest album “Chicken Fight” was released on July 12.

    The band’s team describes their sound as “a perfect blend of upbeat, singalong indie tunes and downright headbanging hard rock.”
