    Cotton Wood to play at Blue Grass Goes Pink Concert

    BISMARCK, ND ( KXNET ) — A concert that benefits the Bismarck Cancer Center Foundation is returning to town for its 11th anniversary.

    According to a news release, the Blue Grass Goes Pink Concert is taking place on Saturday, July 27 at 7 p.m. at Cross Ranch State Park near Washburn.

    Local band Cotton Wood — where Jill Wiese, a Bismarck Cancer Center nurse plays bass — will be the entertainment.

    Concessions provided by the Washburn area churches will also begin at 5:30 p.m.

    Things to do around town: July 15-21

    If you plan on attending, you are asked to bring your lawn chairs and wear pink. Tickets are $10, and kids under the age of 16 are free. There is a $7 parking fee for the park.

    That morning, there will be a 5K and 10K walk/run starting at 9 a.m. in the park as well. You can pre-register by calling (701) 315-0017 or online . You can also register on the morning of at 8 a.m. at the visitor’s center.

    It’s $20 to participate in the 5K/10K, and only $5 extra to get into the concert.
