Tower man suffers life-threatening injuries in crash
VERMILION LAKE TOWNSHIP—A 91-year-old Tower man suffered life-threatening injuries at 1:45 p.m. Friday in a two-car collision at Highway 169 and Pike Bay Drive, a Minnesota State Patrol report stated. The vehicle Gary Wayne Donald of Tower was riding in collided with another vehicle that was stationary, attempting to turn onto Pike Bay Drive. The driver of the vehicle, 77-year-old Elaine Karen Tibbetts of Tower, suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Both were taken to the Virginia hospital. Michael Steven Rosenberg, 64, the driver of the other vehicle, and his passenger Sagit Vlodaver Rosenberg, 57, both of Eagan, Minn., were taken to the Cook hospital. Tower Fire, Tower Ambulance, Virginia Fire, St. Louis County, and the Minnesota DNR responded to the scene.
