Teen dies in Auburn shooting
A 16-year-old boy died on July 12 in Auburn after a confrontation between two parties resulted in a shooting. According to the King County Medical Examiner’s Office, Xavier Lamont Machi Landry, 16, died on July 12 in Auburn as a result of multiple gunshot wounds suffered in a roadway ion A Street Southeast. Medical examiners have identified Landry’s death as a homicide.
DUI rollover collision near Renton involves multiple vehicles, injuries
A multivehicle rollover collision July 14 on Renton Issaquah Road Southeast, aka State Route 900, resulted in multiple injuries. A 24-year-old Renton man has been booked for investigation of charges including vehicular assault and driving under the influence as a result of the collision, which occurred at approximately 5:09 p.m. Sunday, July 14.
King County deputies arrest two, seize over 25 pounds of drugs and firearms after shooting
KING COUNTY, Wash. — King County Sheriff's Office detectives arrested two individuals and seized more than 25 pounds of narcotics and multiple firearms. In May, authorities responded to reports of a shooting in North Bend. When police attempted to engage with witnesses they refused access to the home. The responding deputy to the scene of the shooting obtained a search warrant to secure video footage of the shooting.

Drugs, guns, chemicals used to make explosives discovered at North Bend home
A shooting in North Bend led King County deputies to seize pounds of drugs, numerous guns, and even chemicals used to make explosives. In May, a deputy was denied access to a home where a shooting was reported. In an effort to get possible video of the shooting, the deputy obtained a search warrant. During a search of the home, police not only found drugs and guns, but also that the home was badly contaminated with drugs. When the Gun Violence Reduction Unit and the Bomb Disposal Unit were summoned, chemicals and materials used to make homemade bombs were found as well. Though the two suspects fled, they eventually were taken into custody by the SWAT team.
Federal Way woman accused of driving high in fatal crash
A driver who was allegedly high on marijuana behind the wheel has been accused of causing the death of one man and seriously injuring multiple others. Wendy Cisneros, 22, whose last known address was in Federal Way, has been charged with vehicular homicide, three counts of vehicular assault, and reckless driving following a fatal collision June 21 in SeaTac.

TACOMA, Wash. — A Pierce County judge ruled Monday that a 16-year-old accused of shooting a police officer in Tacoma could be charged as an adult. The ruling stems from a shooting last August when a Tacoma police officer was conducting an emphasis patrol on recovering stolen vehicles. He encountered two 15-year-olds at the time suspected of stealing a car.
Felony charges for suspect in WA burglary, $100K stolen using garage opener
BELLEVUE, Wash. - A man suspected in a string of burglaries that resulted in over $100,000 of stolen goods across King County now faces felony charges. King County prosecutors charged 43-year-old Joseph Groshong with residential burglary, theft of a motor vehicle and obstructing an officer. Groshong was tracked down in a box truck entering I-90, after fleeing from police at the scene of a burglary in Bellevue on July 10.

Kent Police seek public’s help to find woman missing since 2009
Kent Police released a sketch of what Alyssa McLemore might look like now in an effort to find the Kent woman missing since 2009. McLemore was 21 when she disappeared over 15 years ago on April 9, 2009. She was 5 feet 3 inches tall and about 130 pounds at the time she disappeared. Her hair is naturally black but she was known to sometimes bleach her hair, according to Kent Police. She had a 3-year-old child when she disappeared.
Seattle deputy police chief accused of domestic violence will not be charged with a crime
PIERCE COUNTY, Wash. — The Pierce County Prosecutor's Office on Monday said they will not charge Seattle police Deputy Chief Eric Barden with a crime. The criminal case against Barden stems from a 2023 complaint accusing him of domestic violence. The Pierce County Sheriff’s Department investigated the case and referred it for a charging decision in early July.
Tacoma Teen to Face Adult Prosecution for Alleged Shooting of Police Detective
In a decisive move that could set a precedent for juvenile crime cases, a Pierce County judge ruled that a 16-year-old boy accused of shooting a Tacoma police detective is to be prosecuted as an adult, reports The News Tribune.
