ELLISTON, Va. – The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a body was found in the North Fork Roanoke River in Montgomery County. On Saturday just after 4 p.m., the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, Montgomery County Fire and Rescue, and Elliston Fire Department responded to reports of a body found in the river in the area of Cannery Road in Elliston.

10 displaced after vehicle ‘rolls’ into apartment building on Electric Road
ROANOKE COUNTY, Va. (WFXR)– Roanoke County Fire and Rescue reported a vehicle rolled into a building on Electric Road during the afternoon of Saturday, July 20. According to the fire department, crews responded at 3:57 p.m. to the 4300 block of Electric Rd on a report of a vehicle into a building. Units arrived to find a wall collapsed in an apartment building, and the vehicle had already been moved.
