Swimming Halted at Three Minneapolis Beaches Due to High E. coli Levels
Minneapolis – A trio of popular Minneapolis beaches has been issued a temporary no-go for swimmers. Elevated E. coli levels have put a 30-day pause on aquatic activities at Bde Maka Ska North Beach, Lake Hiawatha Beach, and Wirth Lake Beach, according to the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board. As of August 13, would-be beachgoers must look elsewhere to beat the summer heat.

MINNEAPOLIS — Some big names in music are taking over the Twin Cities in the coming days. From Thursday, Aug. 15 to Monday, Aug. 19, there's a little something for everyone. As Italian Eatery Goes on the Market, Its Owners Hint at New Plans
Italian Eatery and Un Dito owners Eric and Vanessa Carrara, who closed their south Minneapolis sister restaurants earlier this summer, have officially listed the property on the market. Carrara says that the pair was initially looking for a new tenant to move into the space, but when they announced the restaurants’ closures, they were met with a flood of offers to buy. “We want to find an operator that’s right for the neighborhood that we can pass the baton to,” he says. “That’s what’s most important to us, rather than selling to a developer or apartment complex or something like that.”
