TWO PEOPLE ARRESTED FOR ILLEGAL DUMPING
Two people were arrested on illegal dumping charges by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office. According to Sheriff Otto Hanak, on Wednesday, 35-year-old Brenham resident Anthony James Rogers was arrested by the Brenham Police Department during a traffic stop for Possession of Marijuana and placed into the Washington County Jail. At that time Rogers was wanted by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office for Illegal Dumping. Rogers posted $1,500 in bonds on both charges and was released the following day.

TWO PEOPLE ARRESTED ON WARRANTS
Two people were arrested Wednesday on warrants. Brenham Police report that Wednesday afternoon at 4:00, Officer Garrett Downs was dispatched to the 1200 block of Old Independence Road regarding a warrant that needed to be served. Marcos Maradiaga, 22 of Austin, was served on his warrant for No Driver’s License issued out of Washington County Justice of the Peace Pct. 2.
SCAMMERS SOLICITING MONEY FOR FAKE BRENHAM SHRINE CLUB FUNDRAISER
The Brenham Shrine Club is warning the public of scammers who are using the organization’s name. Aaron Curlee of the Shrine Club notified KWHI this (Friday) morning that the scammers are reaching out to local businesses by phone or email and asking them for donations to help with putting on a fall magic show.
