North Aurora woman collects cicadas, awaits their return in 2041
NORTH AURORA, Ill. (CBS) – A west suburban woman is already counting down to 2041 because she can't wait for the drone of the 17-year cicadas to fill her front yard once again.Suddenly, summer sounds less noisy in North Aurora."They were loud enough that you could hear them a few blocks away," said Bettina Sailer.A shower from her hose would usually stir them, but Sailer has accepted the fact that there are likely no cicadas left."Zero. It's kind of sad," she said. There used to be more, about 6,500 by Sailer's count. She hand-counted and hand-picked them during visits to various...
Glendale Heights, IL USA
On Sunday June 23rd my husband and I took our son fishing at Lake Becerra. Papa (my father in law) usually takes him and this was the first time we had taken him in a while, and the first time since my Dad passed in January. My son brought a new pole and a pole that Grandpa had given him. The pole my Dad gave him is the one he usually uses, but he wanted to try the new one. The new pole almost immediately had an issue and he couldn’t use it. I admit I was happy he had to use Dad’s pole instead. Moments later I turned my head and saw this heart on the tree. I never heard of this project before this and obviously don’t know the person that made it, but I hope they get to see this. It felt like I was meant to find this heart and find it at that moment. Felt like Dad was there with us. Thank you so much.

Review: Bluenana Solventless Live Rosin Blunt by NGW
I recently picked up to review from Sunnyside Naperville Nature’s Grace and Wellness (NGW) Moonwalkers Bluenana Solventless Live Rosin Blunt. I’d been reluctant to go for a blunt. I’ve always been under the impression that blunts were mixed with tobacco, which I would typically avoid at all costs, but NGW declared upfront on the label that this blunt was tobacco free.
