Updated ESPN WNBA Rankings Fuel Caitlin Clark, Fever Playoff Hopes

The Indiana Fever improved to 11-14 in the 2024 WNBA regular season after their win over the Minnesota Lynx on Sunday.

This means that Indiana is now 10-6 after starting their season with a 1-8 record, and continues to play better with each game played.

Which is why that it makes sense that ESPN ranked the Fever as the 6th-best WNBA team at the moment within their updated Power Rankings.

"The Fever will take whatever wins they can get in their quest to get back to the playoffs for the first time since 2016," ESPN's Power Rankings article wrote.

The article added of Fever rookie Caitlin Clark, "while Clark's streak of consecutive double-doubles was snapped at five, she is averaging 15 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists per contest through her first 25 games of the season, something only Ionescu (twice), Candace Parker and Lindsay Whalen have done."

Clark and the Fever have a favorable game against the Dallas Wings (who are 5-19 on the season) on Wednesday.

If they can secure that win, Indiana will firmly cement their solid playoff position heading into the WNBA's Olympics break.
