The Indiana Fever have a trio players selected for the All-Star game, Caitlin Clark, Aliyah Boston, and Kelsey Mitchell. The All-Star team, coached by WNBA legend Cheryl Miller, will face off against Team USA on July 20.

Miller held the All-Star's first practice on Friday, during which she got to closely work with Clark, the WNBA's Rookie of the Month in July, along with Boston and Mitchell, both of whom are two-time All-Stars.

When asked about the Fever players on her squad, Miller offered the trio an assessment that put the rest the league on notice.

"I will say one thing, I did not count on their basketball IQ being that high. I knew it was high, obviously because they play at this level, but it’s one thing to know knowledge. It's another thing to talk about it and speak and then put it into pieces and places," she told WTHR's Dominic Miranda . "It was a great collaboration with all the players, but Indiana has a very, very bright future."

Miller, a three-time Naismith Player of the Year and Olympic gold medalist, pointed out what truly makes these three All-Stars stand out.

"They're learning how to play the game and learning their mistakes and how to correct them faster," Miller said, noting the youth of the Fever trio.

"The only thing I see that's going to happen the older they get is how to stop the run sometimes. And how to change the momentum during games. But this is not a team people want to play. Not only are they getting better, but they're confident and they share no fear. They're fearless."

The love goes both ways. "Obviously, Cheryl, she's like one of the pioneers of our game," Clark told reporters earlier that day. "Just an awesome individual. Her personality radiates. Just being around her makes you smile. She's such a cool human. For her to get to coach us, it's super exciting for me.

Miller made it clear she wants the All-Star team to win, which Mitchell loved. The No. 2 overall pick from the 2018 WNBA Draft said of Miller, "What she's done for us and paved the way for us to be here, we're eternally grateful for her and we only can do right by her by competing the best that we can."
