Close call between dump truck and motorcyclist caught on camera
MINNEAPOLIS — Dash camera video shows an incredibly close call between a motorcycle, SUV and dump truck on a Minneapolis interstate.The Minnesota State Patrol says a motorcyclist crashed into a guard rail while traveling southbound on Interstate 35W at Hennepin Avenue on Monday.After the motorcycle crashed, a Kia SUV swerved to avoid the crash and got rear-ended by a dump truck. The dump truck ended up spinning out, narrowly missing the motorcycle and its operator.The motorcyclist suffered injuries that were non considered life-threatening. No one else reported any injuries.The crash remains under investigation.

State Patrol IDs Two Minnesota Men Killed in Separate Crashes
(KROC-AM News) - The State Patrol has released the names of two people killed in separate traffic incidents Tuesday night. One of the victims was a 19-year-old man from the Grand Rapids area. The State Patrol says Carter Haithcock of Goodland was fatally injured around 11:20 PM on Tuesday when he was struck by an SUV while he was walking in the traffic lane on Highway 169 in Nashwauk. The Grand Rapids woman driving the SUV was not hurt.
Firework Chaos Shuts Down Some Minneapolis Streets For 3rd Year
For the third year in a row, juveniles and or young adults ran parts of downtown Minneapolis until large numbers of officers could clear the streets. From various online videos, it appears that there weren't as many instances of fireworks being shot at bystanders, but there were various reports of fireworks being shot off at officers.
27-year-old man dies after falling from a tree on the Fourth of July
AITKIN, Minn. — A 27-year-old man died after falling from a tree near the shores of Gun Lake in Aitkin on the Fourth of July. According to police, Henry M. Cannon, was climbing a large White Pine tree near while celebrating the holiday with friends when a branch broke and he fell approximately 25-feet to the ground. The fall knocked Cannon unconscious and resulted in multiple internal injuries, said authorities. Cannon was transported to Riverwood Hospital and administered lifesaving care. Unfortunately, Cannon succumbed to his injuries. Police are still investigating the incident. Several different law enforcement agencies had a busy Fourth of July evening in Minneapolis, reporting they made 30 arrests and gave out five citations overnight.Of those arrested and given citations, 27 were adults and eight were juveniles. The ages range between mid-teen to early twenties. O'Hara said similar to last year a number of those involved were from outside the city of Minneapolis.

Dillon Peter-Cody Clemens, 38, Minneapolis, and Jacob Seth Cobb, 30, Johnson, were both charged in Morrison County District Court with one felony count each of first-degree possession of a controlled substance.
