Firemen's Softball Tournament
The 66th annual Firemen’s Softball Tournament is set to return July 18-21 to Valley View Playfields. Tourney weekend begins the evening of July 18 with the annual Bloomington Fire versus Bloomington Police all-star softball game at 6 p.m. at Red Haddox Field. A Firemen’s Tournament All-Star game will follow at 7:30 p.m. Various concession offerings will be provided by non-profit organizations from across Bloomington including Kennedy High School and Jefferson High School.
Tournament games start at 6 p.m. July 19 with the defending champions game on Field 4 at 7:15 p.m. The big tent closes at 11 p.m.
Tourney games resume at 8 a.m. July 20 with breakfast served under the big tent. Pro wrestling will entertain the fans near the watertower at 4 p.m. and the big tent will close at 10 p.m. Tourney games resume at 8 a.m. July 21 with championship games starting at 1 p.m. with the tournament finishing by 3 p.m.

Summer training for Richfield CC
Richfield cross country summer practice continues all summer starting from the Richfield High School flag pole starting at 7:30 a.m. Monday-Friday. Captains will lead the practices with coach Marty Huberty checking in throughout the summer for endurance and conditioning sessions.
The official start to the season is Aug. 14 with the Meet the Spartans community event (all sports) at Spartan Stadium at 5:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 16 and the Alumni Run at Spartan Stadium at 9 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 17.
