Bloomsburg, Pa. — A woman caught her ex-boyfriend on camera breaking into her home and smashing a window, according to police.

Lesther Eliezer De Los Santos, 24, was supposed to come to the home on Ridgewood Drive on July 14 to pick up his belongings that had been set outside, said South Centre Township Officer William LeFevre. Instead, De Los Santos reportedly pushed in an air conditioner in her bedroom window, shattering the glass, and climbed into her home.

Police were called to the home at 2 p.m. by a neighbor, who spotted De Los Santos pushing in the AC unit and climbing in the house, LeFevre said. When they arrived, the homeowner had just returned, having been alerted by her security camera that De Los Santos was in her house.

Police searched the house, but did not find him.

The woman told police she and De Los Santos had broken up two months ago and he had moved back to Hazleton. He had reportedly been threatening her since the move, so she got an emergency Protection from Abuse order against him just three days before.

He had texted her that morning, asking if he could pick up some of his belongings, so she agreed and set them outside the home. She left the home and just minutes later, watched on camera as he broke into her bedroom, charges say.

Police viewed the video, which allegedly shows De Los Santos pushing in the air conditioner and entering the home through the window.

De Los Santos, Hazleton, was charged with burglary, criminal trespass, theft, and criminal mischief.
