OneGenAway hosting Mobile Food Pantry in Arab this weekend
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — OneGenAway, in partnership with Atrion Medical and Gilliam Baptist Church, will host its Mobile Pantry in Arab on Saturday, July 27. The drive-thru food pantry will be held at Gilliam Springs Baptist Church, located at 1341 N Brindless Man Pkwy, Arab. Anyone in need is welcome to receive a cartload of fresh produce, dry goods, and more with no paperwork or qualifications required.

Cullman City Council approves purchase of building to house Cullman Community Theatre
CULLMAN, Ala. – The Cullman City Council on Monday, July 22, 2024, approved the purchase of the facilities of the former Clark Street Church of God and Calvary Apostolic First United Pentecostal Church, to create a 200-seat community performing arts center. ALDOT announces grants for municipal airports
The Alabama Department of Transportation announced July 22 it has awarded more than $22,000 in state funding to three municipal airports for improvements. The Russellville Municipal Airport in Russellville, Ala., will receive $50,130 from the Federal Aviation Administration and $2,785 from a state grant to install runway end identifier lights for two of the airport’s runways. The City of Russellville will provide $2,785 in matching local funds for a total project value of $55,700.
