Brightening Skies, Scattered Showers and Turning Less Humid Today
BANGOR, Maine (WABI) - A cold front will cross the state this morning and move to our east this afternoon. This will bring us plenty of clouds and the chance for some scattered showers and possibly a few thunderstorms this morning. As the front moves to our east... winds will shift out of the west/northwest and usher drier air into the region which will result in humidity dropping as the day progresses. Mostly cloudy skies this morning will become a mix of sun and clouds by late morning into the afternoon. There’s still a chance of a few isolated showers and thunderstorms this afternoon especially Downeast. Temperatures today will top off in the upper 70s to mid-80s. Skies will be mostly clear tonight. It’ll be cooler and less humid. Nighttime temperatures will drop to the mid-50s to near 60°.
