Savannah leaders speak out after Biden drops out
SAVANNAH, Ga. — Local elected leaders speaking out after President Joe Biden announced he would be dropping out of the election. The messages are, as one would imagine, along party lines. Republican Congressman Buddy Carter believes the 14 million Democrats who voted for Biden in the primary have now been disenfranchised.
More than 20 streets flood in Savannah on Saturday, leaving abandoned vehicles
Savannah experienced heavy rainfall on Saturday, leading to streets flooding and abandoned vehicles throughout the city. Between 7 a.m. yesterday and 7 a.m. today, Coffee Bluff experienced 3.51 inches of rain ― the highest rain total of any area in Savannah during that time period, according to an email sent from Jonathan Lamb, meteorologist for the National Weather Service (NWS) Charleston Office.
