Four-Cylinder Toyota Supra Unexpectedly Axed In The US
You can get a BMW Z4 with a four-pot in the United States but that’s not the case anymore for its Supra coupe equivalent. Unexpectedly, Toyota is pulling the plug on the 2.0-liter engine, a mere three years after introducing the entry-level model. Going forward, the sports car with a fixed metal roof will be offered in the US strictly with the B58 engine.

BMW Launching 8 Instead Of 6 Neue Klasse EVs By 2028?
BMW has long said it would launch at least six next-generation electric vehicles by the end of 2027. According to a fresh report from Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, two more could be in the pipeline. The reputable German newspaper claims to know more about the new wave of EVs from Bavaria. Aside from the already confirmed iX3 coming in 2025 and the i3 sedan a year after, FAZ alleges three will be exclusive to China. Specifically, standard- and long-wheelbase i3 sedans along with a stretched iX3. That would make sense considering that the new Designworks studio in Shanghai has been working on China-specific Neue Klasse EVs for a while.
MINI Aceman SE Hits The Streets In Rebel Red
The Aceman is MINI’s first-ever model sold exclusively as an EV, but the fact it’s built in China poses an issue. The European Commission is imposing tariffs on electric cars exported from China to EU countries, which will render some models too expensive to purchase. The silver lining here for the BMW Group is that it’s facing a temporary problem. From 2026, the Aceman will also be made in Oxford at home in the UK.
BMW Defends The New M5 Hybrid’s Massive Weight Penalty
When technical specifications of the new M5 leaked in mid-February, the curb weight left enthusiasts worried. BMW confirmed our worst fears when it unveiled the G90 earlier this week. Heavier than even the fully electric i5 M60, the seventh-gen sports sedan tips the scales at 5,390 pounds (2,445 kilograms) in the US and 5,368 lbs (2,435 kg) in Europe. Why is it so heavy? Although the car is larger than its predecessor, the weight penalty is primarily caused by the adoption of a plug-in hybrid setup.
2025 BMW M4 GT4 EVO Race Car Fully Revealed
When BMW M Motorsport took the wraps off the 2025 M4 GT3 EVO in late May, it also previewed its GT4 companion. Now, the much cheaper race car is officially out, sharing the same “EVO” suffix. As expected, it inherits the updated headlights and taillights from the road-going 2025 M5 Coupe. Those nifty yellow daytime running lights are only offered on the limited-run M4 CS.
Photo Comparison: Mercedes-AMG E-Class vs. G90 BMW M5
The newest M5 is here, which begins the newest iteration of a timeless rivalry: BMW 5 Series vs Mercedes-Benz E-Class. We don’t yet know what Mercedes-Benz has cooked up for the new E63 sedan and touring, but we know they’ll exist. We already have the AMG E53, which will give us an idea of what the new V8-powered variant (hopefully) will look like. Here’s how it compares to the G90 M5 and keep in mind, this is purely a design comparison, rather than specs and performance.
New MINI Countryman Poses In John Cooper Works Flavor
Remember when MINIs were actually small? Good times. The latest Countryman is anything but that, as evidenced by the 20-inch wheels of this John Cooper Works version. Painted in Nanuq White, the compact crossover has contrasting black accents. It also boasts a red finish for the brake calipers and trim pieces around the front air vents.
BMW Considered Making The New M5 Fully Electric
BMW confirmed plans to shoehorn a plug-in hybrid V8 powertrain in the new M5 a little over two years ago. However, the G90 could’ve been a significantly different car. M boss Frank van Meel has now admitted that a fully electric setup was considered early in the development phase. The unexpected disclosure was made during an interview with Top Gear magazine.
BMW M Boss Takes You On A Tour Of The New M5 G90
Who is better qualified to talk about the new BMW M5 if not the mayor of M Town himself? Frank van Meel stars in a walkaround video to guide us through this “G90” and its matte paint. It’s a Frozen Deep Grey shade from the Individual catalog, combined with the M Carbon exterior package. The optional kit comes with the side mirror caps, roof, and rear spoiler in carbon.
BMW M3 CS Tuned By Manhart Is A Four-Door Supercar
If there’s one thing the M3 CS didn’t need, it’s extra power. Nevertheless, Manhart has worked its magic to tune the S58 engine for more Bavarian muscle. This aftermarket package is tailored to a limited audience since BMW only made this car for about a year. Fewer than 2,000 units were assembled once production got going in March 2023.
Here’s The 2025 BMW M5 With The Standard Panoramic Sunroof
Every single official image we’ve seen so far of the new BMW M5 has depicted the performance sedan with a carbon fiber roof. That makes sense since the lightweight panel is an optional feature and press photos typically show fully loaded cars. The more extras you add, the higher the profit margins are for the company.
Upcoming BMW M5 Touring Gets Rendered After Sedan Unveil
BMW has just unveiled their seventh-generation M5 sedan, but now it’s time to turn our attention to the upcoming M5 Touring. Rendering artist Theottle has digitally rendered the G91 M5 Touring in Frozen Isle of Man Green. As expected, the touring variant of the M5 doesn’t bring many surprises. The front end and interior are identical to the sedan. The only changes are noticeable from the side view and the rear end.
Why The New BMW M5 Has Rear-Wheel Steering
With all the debate regarding the new M5’s massive power and weight, it’s easy to omit other interesting details. The G90 is the first M5 to have rear-wheel steering and only the second M car to have this feature, after the XM. BMWBLOG chatted with the engineering boss at the M division to find out why this piece of hardware was added.
2025 BMW M5 Dynamic Debut Set For Goodwood Hill Climb
When BMW announced it would bring a new car to the Goodwood Festival of Speed, we immediately thought of the M5. Our assumption was accurate as the G90 will attend the annual event held in West Sussex, UK. Visitors are in for a treat considering the sports sedan will celebrate its dynamic debut. It’ll go up the famous hill multiple times a day. In addition, the seventh-generation model will be on static display at the BMW M stand.
See How The 2025 BMW M5 Accelerates With Launch Control
Weight is the enemy of performance but automakers are trying to compensate for the added bulk by putting ludicrous amounts of power. However, the math doesn’t always work out, and the new M5 is a relevant example. With a sprint to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 3.5 seconds, it’s a tenth of a second slower than the previous-generation standard model. It also lags behind the M5 Competition by 0.2s. At the same time, it’s half a second slower than the M5 CS.
2025 BMW M5 With M Performance Parts: First Look
Now that we’ve seen the new BMW M5 with Individual colors and all optional goodies, it only makes sense to focus on the next level of customization. An early look at the G90 with M Performance Parts shows the rear of Munich’s hybrid missile with a carbon fiber diffuser. The extra winglets extending onto the sides of the bumper are made from the same lightweight material.
2025 BMW M5 Configurator Reveals €22,470 Ultimate Package
Now that the 2025 BMW M5 is officially here, it’s finally time to take a closer look at the supersized performance sedan. We’ve already discovered a plethora of Individual colors but what about the options available? Thankfully, the German configurator is already up and running, mere hours after the G90’s world premiere.
BMW Shows The New M5 In Dozens Of Individual Colors
Let’s take a break from all the debate regarding the new M5’s worryingly high curb weight and focus on customization. BMW promises up to 150 special colors will be available for the G90. Many of these are now already featured on the dedicated BMW Individual Visualizer website. We decided to share more than a few samples to show how the super sedan looks with various paint schemes.
