Cross Country Announces 2024 Schedule
SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Wofford cross country head coach Johnny Bomar has announced the 2024 men's and women's cross country schedule. It features two meets in Spartanburg at Milliken Park, with the 2024 Southern Conference Championship hosted by Furman. The season begins on September 6 at the Eye Opener Invitational at Milliken Park in Spartanburg. The teams will travel to Furman on September 14 for a preview of the conference championship course, followed by a trip to Charleston Southern on October 4. While four golfers entered the final round of the Spartanburg County Amateur at the Carolina Country Club with a chance to win, by the back nine it was down to just two. Two time Spartanburg County Champion Robbie Biershenk and second round leader Brad Sill played most of the final round as if it was match play between the two.
Josh Schulman’s Achievements: Coaching Success at Wofford and New Role with The Flats
Josh Schulman joined Georgia Tech in July 2024 as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator after a successful tenure at Wofford, including three consecutive 40-win seasons. In his final season at Wofford, the team achieved a 42-20 record, tying a program record for wins and securing their second SoCon Tournament title.
