ALVA, Fla. — Get ready to golf for a great cause. The Rotary Club of Fort Myers is getting ready to host their biggest event of the year. The annual Rotary Cup golf tournament is a four-person scramble tournament to help raise money for Southwest Florida charities and kids in the area. For 20 years, New Bedford snowbirds who winter in sunny Florida and those who've moved there permanently have gathered in Fort Myers to celebrate their hometown. Florida man arrested, accused of making threats against Trump, Vance on social media
A Florida man accused of making threats against former President Donald Trump, U.S. Sen. JD Vance and their families on social media was arrested on Friday, police said. The Jupiter Police Department said in a news release that officers arrested Michael W. Wiseman on charges of written threats to kill. He was taken into custody without incident and lodged in Palm Beach County Jail, according to Jupiter police Maj. Don Hennessy.
