PERRY – Tuesday night’s Perry council meeting recognized the city’s very own Mayor Randall Walker for his recent induction into the Georgia Municipal Hall of Fame. During the beginning of the regular council meeting, Communications Manager Tabitha Clark announced Walker’s recent honor. Clark said during last month’s Georgia Municipal Association annual conference, Walker was one of four outstanding local government leaders inducted into the Georgia Municipal Government Hall of Fame.
Juvenile Injured in Shooting at Warner Robins Party
On Monday, July 1, 2024, at approximately 11:39 pm, officers from the Warner Robins Police Department responded to reports of shots fired at a large party at 410 Lake Front Dr. While en route, the Houston County 911 Center was informed that a person had been shot and was being transported to the hospital. Officers located the 15-year-old victim during transport and requested EMS. The victim had been shot twice in the back and was taken to a local hospital, where he is in stable condition.
