Robert Allen Hawkins
Robert Allen Hawkins, a long-time Missoula, MT, dentist and outdoor enthusiast, passed away on Saturday, July 13, 2024. He was 97. He died at home surrounded by his family. He was born on July 30, 1926 in Helena, MT, to Thomas Lee Hawkins, a Helena physician, and Harriet Laughlin Hawkins. Two other children included Janet, and Thomas. Bob grew up spending lots of time outdoors, skiing, hiking and water skiing around the Helena area and at the family cabin on Lindbergh Lake. He played football in high school. Bob graduated from the University of Montana and then dental school at the University of Washington.

Evacuation order issued for new fire north of Missoula
(KPAX) A wildfire that has broken out in the Butler Creek area has prompted evacuation orders and warnings to be issued. The Butler Creek Fire has prompted the Missoula County Sheriff's Office to issue an evacuation order for the Indreland and Buffalo Speedway zone and the West Butler Lavelle Creek Zone. People are ordered to leave the area immediately.
